FREE Resources from Finding Polaris Wilderness Community:

We believe that knowledge, skills, and access to food should never be limited by cost.

That’s why we are committed to offering a wide range of free programs, resources, and opportunities for people of all ages to learn, grow, and reconnect with the land.

Below you’ll find everything we currently offer at no cost —

available in Sudbury and online.

Free Programs and Events:

Youth Programming – ImpactON (2026)
A free, land-based program designed for youth to build resilience, learn ancestral skills, and connect with nature through mentorship and community.

In-Person Events (Sudbury):

We host seasonal planting days, workshops, and wild food gatherings — all free to attend. These events bring together families, youth, Elders, and volunteers to learn and share in hands-on food and skill-building activities.

Free Online Learning:

Water E-Course – Learn the importance of hydration, natural water sources, and water as medicine.

Friction Fire E-Course – A step-by-step guide to mastering one of humanity’s oldest survival skills.

All e-courses are available online and completely free of charge.

Why We Give Freely:

Our commitment to Education, Food, Skills, and Giving Back drives everything we do.

By offering these free programs and resources, we remove barriers to participation and ensure that everyone — regardless of income, age, or background — can access the tools they need to thrive.

At Finding Polaris, giving back isn’t an afterthought. It’s at the heart of who we are.
